Roofing in Taylor Mill and the Towns Around It
We handle roof replacement, roof repair, inspections, storm damage, gutters and siding for homeowners in Taylor Mill and nearby towns. Every visit starts the same way. We look closely, tell you the cause and what moves the cost, and then you decide.

Where We Work
Our base is Taylor Mill, and most of our days are spent a short drive from it. We work on homes in Independence, Covington, Edgewood, Erlanger and Elsmere, and up through Fort Mitchell. On the river side we cover Newport, Fort Thomas, Cold Spring and Highland Heights.
The town doesn't change how we work. You get the same free estimate, the same written scope with materials and labor listed line by line, and the same cleanup at the end of each day. If you're unsure whether your street falls inside our area, ask when you call. If it doesn't, we'll tell you plainly.

What Shapes Roofs Across Northern Kentucky
- Older homes and newer ones
- The river cities have many older homes, some carrying more than one layer of shingles, board sheathing and chimneys that have been flashed and reflashed over the decades. Farther south there are more homes built in recent decades, with plywood or OSB decking and simpler roof lines. Both can last a long time, but they fail in different ways, so we check the decking and flashing before we price anything.
- Freeze and thaw
- Winter temperatures in this area rarely settle below freezing for long. They cross that line again and again, and each crossing works on any water that has crept under a lifted tab or past tired flashing: it turns to ice, swells and pries the gap a little wider. When attic heat melts snow on the upper roof, the runoff can refreeze at the colder eaves and back up, so we check ventilation as well as the shingles.
- Spring and summer storms
- Thunderstorms bring strong gusts and sometimes hail. Wind tends to crease or lift shingles along ridges and edges, while hail bruises the mat and knocks granules loose. We photograph what we find so you can see it, and we explain how a claim generally works without acting as your adjuster.
- Hills and drainage
- Much of the area is hilly, and that shows up at the gutters. Sloped lots move a lot of water toward the house, so undersized gutters or downspouts that empty against the foundation cause trouble quickly. We size gutters to the roof area and send the water somewhere it can drain.
- Permits
- Permit rules differ from one city or county office to the next. Some want a permit for a full reroof, others only for structural changes. We check with the office that covers your address, pull what the job needs and schedule any inspection.
